The above picture shows the same airplane but some time later. After a few crashes the original finish was starting to look a bit tatty, so it was rebuilt with a new colour scheme. The trainer yellow scheme is of No 5 Service Flying Training School, R.A.A.F, late in WW11.

The T6 kit has been around for quite a while now. It went together quite easily and generally withstood a fairly rough flying career, as befits a military trainer! The only real weakness I found in the kit was the undercarriage mounting blocks, which splintered on the first heavy landing.

The flying characteristics were good, although a little twitchy in a modest breeze. Most basic maneuvers could be accomplished. The plane was lost due to a battery failure, but I may build another one some day!
