| Sunday was the final day
of competition. The skies were gray and overcast with rain
threatening and the pilots were hesitant to go up. But, as they say, "the show must go on." Some of
the pilots were close to moving up a place in the point
standings so were anxious to get started. After the first few
flights, reports of favorable air density and the lack of wind
proved to be a perfect combination. |

Now the
flight lines were filling with contestants. Indeed, Sunday
provided the best flying conditions for the entire contest. By
12:00 noon the competition was over. With two rounds on Friday
and Saturday, and one round on Sunday, the flight scores were
totaled to determine the winners. There would be a winner in the
Expert class where the builder of the aircraft also
flies it and the other class is in "Team Scale". |

is where the builder may not have the skills required to fly the
aircraft so he or she can select a pilot of their
choice to fly it on their behalf. |
