My Mid-Airs...................30th June 96
| Incident #2 - 2 weeks later. |
This time I was out at our field and flying what a few of
us call a "Toot", as seen below. Its basically a small 2 channel, 15 size
sports model aircraft with no throttle or undercarriage. It is flown by tuning the engine
to run flat out and hand launching it.

This day, I had been flying it for about 15 minutes, the
engine had gone off tune and I was flying it around just waiting for the engine to stop
when out of the blue my model exploded. It had actually been hit by a pylon racer that was
being test flown for the 1st time. It was moving so quickly, I barely saw it. Both
aircraft were totally destroyed.
